Limk County 1 Limk District 4

The boys first game resulted in a comfortable victory over a County side who battled gamely.A super first half showing rewarded with goals from Luke o Riordan with two stunning strikes and capt Alex Galligans fine finish .County pulled a goal back before Luke o Riordan once again obliged to complete a hatrick and secure the points.

Limk District 2 Clare 0

A game that could have gone either way until the District took a grip on proceedings in the second half .Feature of this game were the quality finish’s , Diarmuid Fitzgibbons opener was clinical followed by Samuel Francis back post header from Niall Mcnamara fine delivery.

Limk District 3 Galway 2

A big crowd witnessed a super game of football from both sides.The talented visitors burst out of the traps to forge into a two lead before the diminutive Will Meehan hit a belter to reduce the deficit before halftime.A transformed District put in fantastic second performance with excellent goals from Diarmuid Fitzgibbon and the ever reliable Luke o  Riordan  to secure top spot in the group.

Interleague Cup Semifinal 

Limerick District 1 Midlands 0

This home semifinal was keenly contested with chances few and far between.The winning goal came in a District dominated first half with the impressive Max Healy heading powerfully to the net from Padraig’s Aherne pinpoint cross.A fine rearguard defensive display with keeper Bartek Zuzga in brilliant form in the second period got the lads over the line .

Interleague Cup Final

South Belfast 1 Limerick District 0

A final date in Kilkenny v a very strong Sth Belfast with the game tight throughout , the winning goal coming with five minutes left  after a super squad effort not just in this big game but throughout the season .Well done to the entire squad and their coach’s Aidan Ryan , Paul Kirby, JJ Hartigan , Cillian
